“ Seriously one of the BEST restaurants I have been to in a long time. My sister told me their Mac and cheese is famous and she was not kidding! It was seriously the best I have ever had and definitely worth trying if you haven't yet. The nachos were delicious, my sister was drooling over her bleu cheese burger and the onion rings were really good too. We wanted to eat it all but our stomachs weren't big enough so we had to take some home. I highly recommend hitting this place up for food and drinks. ”
“ We sat in the patio and it was so beautiful! My first time trying the mac and cheese, super yummy. It had carnitas on top. The burger was super big and I got a side of tortilla soup on the side. Our waiter was very kind too. Food came out fast and hot. The heaters could be cranked up a bit more but it’s ok. ”
“ Black Sheep SLO was an awesome stop. A lot of times when you look online for a place to eat, or grab a drink, the pictures don’t always match. Not in this case. The photo of their burger online, was exactly what I received. Food was surprisingly tasty and there is a full bar. As far as alcohol goes, the Beer and bourbon selection was decent. Nothing to extravagant. The tequila options were there and they had some popular trendy tequilas. Seems like they like to pour Nosotros Tequila, but there weren’t any additive free tequila options if you’re interested in that. Overall though, I had a good time and if you’re looking to grab a beer and some food, I recommend Black Sheep all the way. Cheers! ”
“ What really stood out to us (besides amazing delicious food) was how we were treated. Our server was very kind, helpful and friendly. And we can’t wait to go back.... We ate everything we were served and wish we could have taken leftovers since we were from out of town ”
“ Went here with my wife because of the good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. A lovely bar with great atmosphere and a really warm welcome. Love the way they have done the place. Ordered the jalapeno bacon burger with blue cheese and fries. Wow! Probably never had a better burger! My wife had the fish tacos and they were amazing too. Definitely a great bar and highly recommended! ”
“ I cannot recommend The Black Sheep more! Run (don't walk) to this local gem. My friends and I were visiting SLO for a little weekend getaway. The Black Sheep was our first stop when we got off the train for lunch. We were encouraged to try their world famous mac and cheese and ended up falling in love with so much more. The bar manager, Nicole, was the absolute best. She was so kind and welcoming, was amazing conversation, and gave us some great recommendations of places to try in the area. Everyone in the bar, even the customers, were so kind. We shared the Queen Brie mac and cheese, jalapeno poppers, the Fig & Goat burger, and the blackened chicken salad. The food was spectacular and the vibes were even better. We also returned later in the weekend during the evening for some drinks and it was a lovely time. I could tell it is a local favorite and I completely understand why. If you're in SLO, you have to stop by the Sheep! ”
“ Absolutely the BEST MAC AND CHEESE my Wife and I have ever had. It was the Queen Brie Pub Mac And Cheese w/ Roasted Garlic, Brie, thyme, Applewood Smoked Bacon and cooked perfectly!! Bartenders Jodie also made me a great Mezcal and lemonade .. it will sell you on why Mezcal is Soo Good! ”
“ My Sis has been here & loved it & I second that. I had the Guiness Burger, fabulous. She created her own Mac n Cheese with Nachos & Hubby got the Blackened Shirmp Salad & would order it again! Twas Fabulous ”
